The objective of this cycling holiday is to cycle virtually all the way around Fyn and as far as possible follow the coastal stretches between the charming towns. After each day’s leg, you stay in some of the best hotels on Fyn, in the coastal towns which all have strong maritime traditions and such delights as old well-preserved wooden ships.

Day 1: Arrival Odense
Accommodation in a comfortable hotel in the centre of Odense, which is the biggest town on Fyn and the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen.

Day 2: Odense - Middelfart (56 km)
From Odense the trip goes north. At Langesø Manor you should take a break by the lovely lake of the same name. The day ends in Middelfart, also known as the town of the bridges. Accommodation in the beautiful Hindsgavl Manor.

Day 3: Middelfart - Assens (56 km)
The day’s trip takes you past the biggest estate on Fyn, Wedellsborg. The estate itself is beautifully located in a huge deer park formed by the woods of the peninsula. The day’s leg ends in Assens, where the cobbled pedestrian streets of the town with their half-timbered buildings have previously been awarded a prize as the most beautiful in Denmark.

Day 4: Assens - Faaborg (43 km)
The day’s trip goes through the ”Fyn Alps”, with their familiar moraine landscape at Svanninge Bakker. The Museum of Fyn Art in Faaborg is well worth a visit for anyone interested in art.

Day 5: Faaborg - Svendborg (32 km)
The day’s stretch shows Sydfyn from its most beautiful side, with views over the South Fyn Archipelago. A detour to Ærø is recommended (the ferry ticket is included in the price).

Day 6: Svendborg - Nyborg (54 km)
A castle trip. Start with a detour to Valdemar’s Castle on Tåsinge, and then the trip continues past various manor houses and finishes at Nyborg, which has the oldest royal castle in the Nordic countries.

Day 7: Nyborg - Odense (49 km)
Cycle along route 40 to the charming fishing town of Kerteminde and the maritime centre of Fjord & Bælt – Go Underwater, or enjoy the art at the Johannes Larsen Museum. The trip continues into the centre of Odense.

Day 8: Odense and departure
The trip ends after breakfast in the hotel in Odense. - Don’t forget to visit the newly renovated Hans Christian Andersen’s House or the Odense Zoo, both in the city centre.
